A slice is a shot that curves dramatically from left to right (for a right-handed golfer). It is one of the most common problems faced by amateur golfers.
Causes
- Open clubface at impact
- Outside-to-inside swing path
- Weak grip
The opposite of a slice is a hook, which curves right to left.
